Man it has been awhile!

So I figured this might be a good thing for me to do again! I needed to get a few things out and this seems to be the best place for me to do it. First lets catch up.

While we were still at Eglin I found a mass in my throat. Went and had it checked out, found out it was attatched to my thyroid, then went and had a biopsy done. Couldn't get the results read til we got to Whiteman. Which sucked. Cause literally we knew nothing, we had no idea if it was cancerous or not.

Move went successful, we got here on the 2nd of August! Took us a few weeks to find a house, but we ended up buying a house out in the Villages! I absolutely love my house and the fact that it is ours and no one elses!! We just need to do a few things to it. We need to get a fence put in! We need to get a new stove, ours sucks majorly! And a few other things. Can't wait til tax time!

Got here and found an OB, went and got an app with an ENT doc. He said that my mass had gone from the size of a golf ball to the size of a man's fist. Holy crap batman! That scared me a bit. Recommended that I go to the OB and figure out the soonest I could have Natalie cause at this point I was 38 weeks pregnant! Went back and forth, and finally got an induction date. That app was on a Tuesday, my induction was scheduled for the 4th of September! Had Mike's parents come down so they could help with taking care of Abigail while we were in the hospital. Went in the hospital at 6 in the morning, got hooked up to the monitors and I was already in labor, who knew that. Had Natalie at 9:27 that night! She weighed 9 lbs 8 oz and was 20 in long! She has tons of hair! I couldn't believe how big she was! She is such a good baby! We had problems with her jaundice at first, even had to spend that next weekend in the hospital. Finally got all that taken care of. Now it was time to get me taken care of.

Went to my referral app in Columbia to see about my surgery. Dr. told me that it was going to be 6 1/2 hours. And that it was going to be a major surgery! Scared the crap out of me! I played the pity party for awhile. But soon got over that. My surgery was scheduled for the 22 of September. Mike took me up there, and stayed until I went under and then drove home with the girls. Surgery went good, they took out lots of lymph nodes and the mass and my thyroid. I had surgery on a Tuesday and was able to come home that Thursday. I had gotten 49 stitches. From the top of my left ear, down through my neck all the way to the right side of my neck. holy crap one big scar! Doctors said it all looked like it was cancerous and that I was going to have to have a scan done. I had to have an I 123 scan. But considering I was still breast feeding Natalie I couldn't have the scan done right away. So I had to wait 6 weeks. So my scan was scheduled for the 2-4 of November!

Halloween came and it was time for Nat's two month check up, she gained some weight she was 10 lbs 13 oz! And was 21 1/2 in! I was like man she is getting big! I got Abbey her fly shot and her HINI shot. Got mine, and got Nat's shots done too! That Sunday took the girls to Iowa to meet up with Mike's stepmom and dad! They took the girls for us, I was not sposed to be around the girls for awhile due to the Iodine I was going to have radiating off my body. Those two weeks were rough. I went the next Monday to get labs done, Tuesday got a small dose of Iodine and then a scan done. And then on Wednesday I got another scan done in the morning to check to see if I had any nodes left or anything else that needed to be killed in there. They saw that there were still a few nodes left and then gave me the full treatment of Iodine. Now the fun began...

I was to be in seclusion for the next 3 - 5 days. I could not be around Mike, could not touch him or be in the same room as him for long periods of time. So he slept on the couch those few days and I slept in the bedroom and used the bathroom there. I had to flush the toilet twice, and clean the bathroom every time I used it, I had to shower all the time, and then clean the shower. Once I was out of seclusion I had to wash all my clothes seperate from Mike. Those days in seclusion were hell. I was by myself, to my own thoughts. I had missed my girls like crazy, the inlaws were driving me nuts. I was arguing with Mike. It just sucked. All I wanted was to be better. Finally Sunday came around I was out of seclusion. Got everything done, was sposed to go to Columbia again for a follow up on Monday, but things got screwed up with that, so had to wait til Thursday. Inlawas were getting tired of the girls, so Carol went and got them and she had them til Saturday. Thursday we went and had my follow up and everything looked great! No more cancer!!! I was so excited! It was hard to believe at 28/29 that I had thyroid cancer. Still hard to believe. But I was better! Now just needed to get my girls back. We picked them up that Saturday! I was so excited to see them! But it was wierd having them back! But now that we have had them back for a week or so, things are back to normal! Abbey is getting better and Natalie is eating alot and is huge! She now weighs 12 lbs 4 oz! So in just a few weeks she gained a lb and a half!

Can't wait for Thanksgiving to come, we are going to my friend Shalone's house! I am excited for that! I am making a turtle pumkin pie and sweet potato caserole and a few other things.

After I had Natalie we tons of company! My mom came down around my birthday and spent a few days here, it was so nice to have her and Jerry down, and then a few weeks after that. Carol and Jerry came down with Mike's grandma Angie and Mike's sister Jaime came down too! Abbey loved having her Nani and Papa down!!

So far living in Mo has been fun! We have loved it so far. I am getting excited for the holidays to roll around. I have lots to be thankful for from my health, to my beautiful girls! And to my hubby who has been through hell and back with me this year!
